The food that rotted is literally the least of it [Corrected]
Just in those 8 months, nearly $2 billion worth of food paid for by PDVSA failed to reach Venezuelans’ dinner tables for one reason or another. The bulk of that money appears to have been quite simply stolen. The losses work out to over $70 for every man, woman and child in the country, just in that one 8 month period.
