Caracas’ Metro is 30 years old

I was two years old when the Caracas subway opened to the public. My first time using it was in 1987. It was a unique experience, like I was on another place different from the country where I live.

Even if the Metro has gotten pretty chaotic in recent years (like a lot of other things here), its importance, not just for Caracas but for the entire country, can’t be underestimated.

Feliz cumpleaños, Metro!

Maduro celebrates the Metro with you….

    Chavez is the metro

  3. Publius says:

Glenn, you are right; Chavez is the Metro…

… the Metro to hell, violence, poverty, and a vast “mar de la infelicidad”.
