Conviasa needs those Brazilian planes ASAP
Last week it was Aserca’s turn, this week it’s state-carrier Conviasa. One of its planes was about to take off from Valera’s airport to Maiquetia when the take-off was aborted and the plane ran off the short runway, coming to a standstill perilously close to a cliff. All the passengers and crew were unharmed.
State media wasted no time to spin the news underlining Conviasa’s quick response to the crisis and its reaction to safeguard the passengers involved.
One aspect they conveniently forgot: This is the 7th accident in the eight years of Conviasa.
