Ceci n’est pas un comment about comments

A reader:

This is not a comment about comments. This is a comment on “A moratorium on comments-about-comments”. Since I am subject to the moratorium to comments about comments, I will not comment on comments, but, is it allowed to comment about a post which establishes a moratorium on comments about comments? Do you expect the blog’s readers to make relevant, interesting comments by email, but at the same time you ask them not to comment on a subject that seems to be of great interest to them? Remember, I’m not commenting on comments, but on the moratorium on comments about comments.
